The Beginner Herbalist Series

Join Mary Colvin RH(AHG) as she begins a journey into herbalism for beginners in an online format. This is your chance to work alongside a professional herbalist with over 17 years of experience. This series is divided into four sessions:

Foundations of Herbalism - This session will go over terms and research, botany basics, harvesting and sustainability, and describe herbal preparations.

Introduction to Herbs - This session will introduce the plant families and their properties, energetics, indications and doctrine of signatures, how to connect with plants, and all about resourcing herbs.

Plant Medicine - This session dives deeper into solubility and potency, how to mix herbal preparations and shelf stability, dosing and measurements, and safety with herbs.

Making Herbal Remedies - In this final session, we will talk about the apothecary shelves and herbal monographs. In the last two weeks there will be a plant walk (video for people out of town and in person for those who live nearby) and a medicine lab (video or in person options).
